NYYRIKKI has released yet another util that probably only he would have thought of developing. It's a BIG 10 gambling machine emulator for MSX2. Say what? Well.. this emulator includes all the features from the original machine including DIP swithes, service switch etc.

rMSX registered users have already received this new NYYRIKKI release, but now it is available for free to anyone. Just grab your download right here.

Funny, this machine is almost an MSX on itself (well, Z80 with PSG). I guess graphics did have to get scaled down a bit, though. (And some other graphics conversions...)

Actually I didn't touch any of the graphic routines at all...

Biggest change was that PSG & I/O port based coin counter & keyboard support was patched to use PPI instead.

Huh, the original machine has a V9938?? The Mame info page spoke about much higher resolutions.

Yes, V9938 connected to I/O #99-#9B... Sounds familiar?
This emulator is < 1KB, so you may guess that this does not include very heavy modifications.

OK, so it's just an MSX2. Some data seems wrong then on this page: http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/big10

Hmm... That should not happen... How ever try to start the emulator with command:

BIG10EMU ::I::::::

@ARTRAG: Yes, there is at least Puzzle Star and Super Free Kick (without sounds), that can be converted to MSX2 similar way... The first does not how ever fill the "more interesting" requirement. *Click*

MSX with that Brazilian VDU device could propably play these titles:

Pit Boss II (c)1988
Super Pit Boss (c)1988
Pit Boss Superstar (c)1990
*Pit Boss Superstar 30 (c)1993
Pit Boss Megastar (c)1994
*Pit Boss Supertouch 30 (c)1993/4

Nice to hear about those games.
Are there MSX-1 like arcade games out there?

Could be fun to "convert" some of these games
