Bitwise announces new game titles for release

Games & Demos - Bitwise announces new game titles for release

 Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 18:59
 Submitted by: Bart
 Topic: Games & Demos

Besides the Krazilec game "Dahku" Bitwise will sell four more games on the upcoming MSX Fair Nijmegen. Two of them are re-releases, but the other two are brandnew games:
  • Ark-A-Noah, rerelease (€10,-)
  • Sex Bomb Bunny, rerelease (€15,-)
  • Bloody Paws (€9,-)
  • INK (€9,-)
Besides the fact that two new MSX1 games are released there's something special about the two new games. Both are released on tape only! Factory production ofcourse. Next Saturday at the MSX Fair in Nijmegen all six (including Dahku and Bomb Jack) games can be bought at the Bitwise booth. Shipping for these games starts monday 16th of January.

Make that six, because Bomb Jack is still sold as well!

I think tape only releases affects sales negatively...
By wolf_ on January 13 2006, 00:25
indeed ... I fail to see the point .. but alas .. perhaps they don't like product-sales and wish to keep all tapes themself, in case they need them for the "brandnew 2006 modern FPGA product" OCM .. *grmbl* .. ^_^

I have to agree on this, if they wanted to release those "old new" games, at least they should be converted to disk...
By ro on January 13 2006, 08:18
tapes? what are "tapes"? were that not those things with a few hundred meter of black/brown stuff innit?
By ro on January 13 2006, 08:19
I'll release muzax#4 on LongPlayer format (bacelite one)
By Sonic_aka_T on January 13 2006, 11:18
Will there also be a punch-card release?
By pitpan on January 13 2006, 11:19
According to my own findings, INK was developed originally to be published in ROM cartridge format. I have the original game in tape and I have succesfully converted it to ROM so that it can be loaded using LoadROM o any other disk tool. I recommend this game, it is so nice. It is worth 9 € indeed.

Every Kralizec (and Matra) release is more than worth buying!
By jltursan on January 13 2006, 19:15
Indeed!, being a MSX1 game, INK is really an impressive game!
By viejo_archivero on January 13 2006, 21:44
I got INK too, is a nice MSX1 game. Matra released both INK and Bloody Paws @ the last BCN RU

Check here: http://www.aamsx.com/AAMSX_RU_28.htm and take a look at the Matra photos. You can see a shot of INK and the tape boxes

Although it is a bit of a distant shot. Although I've already seen that picture set, it's the first actual time I see STAR in the background

Yeah, I played INK and it was a really nice game. But I don’t have the equipment to play tapes, so I didn’t buy it. I hope a disk version will be released someday.

Props for re-releasing Ark-a-noah, still wanted to get my hands on it.
