Karoshi's Caruso - Manic Monday

Development - Karoshi's Caruso - Manic Monday

 Topic: Development

Karoshi's PSG tracker, Karoshi's Caruso, is now fully functional. To celebrate this, another beta version has been published for debugging purposes, named Manic Monday.

The tracker itself is still being developed, but now both the pattern editor and the track editor are fully operative. A Win32 tool has been included to convert the data files into asMSX compliant source code. The assembler replayer, that now supports, music and SFX using the same core routines, has been included in a tiny demo as well.

At the moment, the application itself is an MSX-BASIC bloadable binary. The final version will be an MSX-DOS application. An English document has been added to explain the basic features of the editor. The author encourages PSG musicians to give it a try and produce some nice tunes for it. You can learn more about Caruso and discuss it at Karoshi Corp's forum.

I'm testing hard this app and the results are awesome! . Since is a beta, there are some "ugly" things, but it is 100% operative and nearly all features work perfectly . Congrats, robsy!.

So, when a final release?
By pitpan on November 17 2005, 20:17
I cannot say when. But I can assure you that it won't be before MSXdev'05 deadline .

Just testing for 20 minutes this...And I´ve got no words.Inctuitive and easy to explore on sampling creation/previewing and an affordable interface.Sure I will use this excellent tool on my next projects.I love PSG

Amazing work. The interface is so intuitive. Indeed, it is Karoshi software
By pitpan on November 18 2005, 00:01
Do you really like the interface? I was thinking about changing it into a ugly SCREEN 0 app, but if you like it as it is, maybe I will reconsider this. Thank you for your comments. I am looking forward to hear some of your music!
