Music - MOAM - Portal Cave mp3 added to downloads

In this thread John Hassink (DemonSeed), tried to demonstrate how to use the PT3 format (a music format for PSG) for Konami's SCC. Unable to properly host an example MP3 himself, he has sent it to MRC and as of now this MP3 is available through our freeware downloads section. The song comes from the project Moon Over Arba Minch, currently in development.

This music reminds me something....

IIRC, WYZ did something like this two years ago: PT3 extended to support PSG+SCC. Too bad that Karoshi is down today, 'cause there are some examples there ready to go.

Yes.
Our SCC code starts from WYZ's idea.

It is time to do a video trailer of some levels of the game and post it on youtube....
IMHO we should keep off from the trailer the full motion video sequences with 44KHz 8bit PCM audio for the PSG.

We do not want to show off too much, and I think we are not fully ready
(we should redo some scenes, IMHO especially Johnny Deep and Scarlett Johansson weren't at their best...I told you, we paid them too much...)
Also the 3D first person section should be kept off, or we will spoil the surprise.
(and in the end it is the same of Crysis, so why redo the same game?
By pitpan on July 14 2008, 13:17
And you forget to mention the PONG level and the TETRIS one. They are a must on any MSX superproduction!
By ARTRAG on July 14 2008, 14:14
Sadly we do not have hidden levels with pong or tetris.
We were thinking about including them, but we dropped them due to the fact that, once added a secret level where you can play Metal Gear Solid 4, we do not have spare room in the megarom.

Anyway. The music (with or without SCC) is going to be the best thing in this game. I saw the full soundtrack list and it was BIG.

John you're a chip wizard _O_

Just to say that something promised could be vaguely true...

Don't forget to check the music on a real MSX! We now know that there are some nasty bugs in the SCC...
