MRC Bounce Challenge - 6th entry by IC

Challenges - MRC Bounce Challenge - 6th entry by IC

 Topic: Challenges

IC has just sent us another entry to the MRC Bounce Challenge: Vector Scroll. Although this entry was meant to be their second entry to the challenge, they managed to finish this one before they finished their initial idea. This means that apart from this interesting Vector Scroll, which is accompanied by a nice Moonsound tune, we can expect at least one other entry created by IC to enter the challenge.

In the MRC Bounce Challenge both experienced and novice MSX developers can show how fun (and easy) it can be to develop for MSX. By joining the competition you can win one or more prizes which we will soon announce. As we will also pick one or two winners randomly, there are more than enough reasons to join. Show the MSX community your skills! Entries to the bounce challenge can be sent to bounce@msx.org and have to be sent before October 11th, 23:59 CET. This means you still have close to six weeks left to complete your entries!

Indeed, nice entry! I liked the sound as well! Don't hear much of that kind of music, lately...

how do you launch this in an emulator ?
when i moved to paris some times ago i had to leave my msx hardware behind and now the only way to enjoy msxing again is BlueMSX or OpenMSX

For most of emulators, you must put on a dsk file all the files that are compressed in the .lzh file. There are different tools for that, like Disk Manager (but problems with WinXP) or WinImage (but you must change the PC boot sector into a MSX boot sector).

In some cases, if the demo requires MSX-DOS 1 or MSX-DOS 2, you must add the DOS files. It's not the case of this demo.

Some emulators have a Dir as Dsk feature. In this case, you must only copy the files of the demo in a new Windows directory. The emulator will create himself a virtual disk image with all the files of the directory and start this virtual disk image.
