MRC MEGA-Challenge: 9 months to deadline

Challenges - MRC MEGA-Challenge: 9 months to deadline

 Submitted by: snout
 Topic: Challenges

On June 27th, 2008 - exactly nine months from now - MSX will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Encouraging MSX developers around the world to celebrate this day in an unprecedented way, MSX Resource Center is giving away no less than three One Chip MSX computers in what we call the MRC MEGA Challenge.

So far, we have received the following entries:
  • Ball Quest by Alone coder and Shiru - A challenging MSX2 platform game
  • Evolution 2 by Marco Rossin - Impressive filled vectorgraphics in a 64x48 pixel-window
  • 3072 by David Heremans - An interactive megademo in 64x48 pixels
With nine months of development time to go we expect to receive much more entries so if you would like to get your hands on one of those free One Chip MSX computers you'd better start developing your entry or entries, had you not already done so. There are three disciplines (MSX2 game, 64x48 pixel limitation and history-theme) in which you can join, so there should be a fun challenge for every MSX developer out there. Full information on the challenge rules and disciplines can be found right here.

So, developers, are you ready to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the MSX computer system in style? Start your engines and join MSX Resource Center's MEGA Challenge! You can send in your entries to mega@msx.org until June 27th, 2008, 23:59 CET.
