MRC MuSiXmas Challenge

Challenges - MRC MuSiXmas Challenge

 Topic: Challenges

While the judges of the Bombaman Level Edit Challenge are working on the results of that challenge, time has already come for a new MRC Challenge: The MRC MuSiXmas Challenge. A music challenge this time.

The objective? Compose or rearrange a christmassong for MSX. You can use any tracker you like and are allowed to support PSG, SCC, MSX-MUSIC, MSX-AUDIO and/or Moonsound (512k). Trackmo's are allowed. Only previously unreleased songs created especially for this challenge can compete.

So far for the fineprint, what about the prizes you can win? Well, there's only one this time, but it's a nice one. The winner of the MRC MuSiXmas Challenge will get a copy of ASCII's MSX Magazine 1, which comes with a CD-ROM containing MSXPLAYer and a lot of MSX Software and some nice MSX stickers. Apart from that, every contestant will get a cool MSX button.

So what are you waiting for? You only have 10 days! You can send your MSX Christmas song to musix@msx.org before December 26th, 23:59 CET!

So no PCM ?? (Or can I say XELASOFT MOD -editor abuses the music module. :-).
On the other hand I still hadn't time to work on the drive so I won't try. Also to little time.

Since the challenge is called MuSiXmas, shouldn't the music be composed in MuSiX?
By BiFi on December 16 2004, 21:22
If there's support for SCC, MSX-MUSIC, MSX-AUDIO and/or Moonsound in it... sure
By hap on December 16 2004, 23:35
Who will be the judge(s) ?
By Ivan on December 16 2004, 23:51
I agree about the little time. Snout, extend it to 31/12/2004.
By wolf_ on December 16 2004, 23:55
31/12 is a bad idea actually ...

where're all the people at the night of the deadline? @ familly I guess .. not @ msx
By MeitsNearDark on December 17 2004, 17:03
I decided to make a tune, but if I don't make it for the deadline, I withdraw... It's almost 31-12 and I got to socialize once in a while as well

Will see what happens...
By MeitsNearDark on December 20 2004, 15:22
Well... It happened
By snout on December 20 2004, 16:05
with 6 days to go, 3 entries arrived I think we can stick to the 26/12 deadline, don't you?
By MeitsNearDark on December 20 2004, 21:47
The more people competing, the more exciting... I wouldn't shorten the deadline... It is already short...
