MSX-NBNO end their MSX activities

Websites - MSX-NBNO end their MSX activities

The Dutch MSX group MSX-NBNO, known for their XSW magazines, distribution of several software titles and the always interesting Oss MSX fairs have decided that, after more than 10 years of serving the MSX community, the time had come to end their MSX activities. As stated in a message on the international MSX mailinglist, the decreasing activities and enthusiasm caused this sad but understandable decision.

Perhaps this is a good time to have a look at some of the pictures taken on the Oss MSX Fairs (Oss 2002, Oss 2003, Oss 2005) and to let the people behind MSX-NBNO know that and how you've appreciated their activities in the past decade. On behalf of the entire MSX Resource Center team: Thank you very much MSX-NBNO, it has been an amazing ten years.

[SNiF] [SOB] ... no more Oss... guyz, if you ever feel that MSX spirit itch again, don't hesitate to show up again, eh? :/

Thank you NBNO. I will greatly miss you and those cozy fairs in Oss.

Perhaps a stooopid question, but can't a random team of msx'ers take-over the Oss-organisation? Or is the theatre going to be leveled this year orso?

Wolf, afaik, yes.

But we *really* need a replacement, now that both Tilburg and Oss fairs aren’t organised anymore!

(now that I mention it... Bussum, I need to arrange things. But I’m not in Bussum as often anymore nowadays... :/)

I'm very sad to hear this... MSX-NBNO was always one of the groups which showed great activity in the Netherlands. Moreover, even outside the Netherlands, by importing games, and magazines like NV and HNOSTAR. It's just too bad, and I really do hope you'll make your return to the MSX-scene someday

At my parents' house there's a lamppost at the street. On there hangs and MSX-NBNO sticker as long as they released stickers. The sticker hasn't shown any sign of decay. It'll hold on there as long as the lamppost.

Thus, there'll always be prove of your existence...

Terrible news to hear...
It was expected to see the end of OSS with the leveling of the Old Theatre... but the end of NBNO wasn't something I expected..
At the fairs they always showed their enthusiasm for MSX and its users and they did an amazing job with the fair/meeting every year in Oss.
Oss was always a place to meet each other, talk a lot and view new projects for the new year..
And, let's of course not forget the wonderful dinner in Den Toei they kept organising after the fair..

Thx guys! And don't stop going to other fairs or playing on your MSX !
