MSX Resource Center - MSX Resource Center available in Spanish

 Topic: MSX Resource Center

The MSX Resource Center staff is proud to announce that the contents of our website will be available in both English and Spanish from now on. On http://es.msx.org/ you can find the latest MSX news translated from English to Spanish by a dedicated team of volunteers. They have already done a great job in the past, behind the screens and have already translated 250 newsposts from our news archive. In the future we hope to bring you our entire news archive in Spanish. The people who have contributed to the Spanish translations are: Iván Alonso Bes, Rafael Corrales Pulido, Carlos Milán Figueredo, Diego Milán Jaureguizar, Ivan Latorre, Félix D. Martinez Valverde and Juan Miguel Hernandez (Also see the who we are section).

But there is more to it than translated news alone. Our entire interface was translated to Spanish as well, which makes it a lot easier to navigate through our website and sign up as a member of our website, which makes it possible to post reactions to newsposts, join discussions in our forums, browse the MSX Contacts list and buy products in our recently opened webshop.

The decision to offer our contents in multiple languages is a direct result of a poll held earlier this year. Its results clearly showed there was a huge demand for MSX news in other languages than English alone. We have now taken the first step and hope to bring you other languages in the future. In order to accomplish this we need the help of our visitors. Languages that have our attention are Dutch, Portuguese and Japanese. If you feel like helping the MSX Resource Center out by translating contents from English to one of the languages mentioned above, join the MSX Resource Center team today!

Congratulations to the MRC staff!
This is a big step forward for the site, and for the international MSX community.
By Ivan on October 20 2003, 00:56
Come on!

When in Dutch, Portuguese and Japanese?
By BiFi on October 20 2003, 09:57
Great work guys. The start of the multi-lingual MRC has finally started.
By ro on October 20 2003, 10:45
great, too bad my spanish is as bad as rotten fruit.

reading some other forum post on amateur softs in Japan being rejected cuz of English I'd suggest NOT having MRC in japanese, just to tickle them japanese buggers.... hehe
They should learn the beautifull language we call Enlish! (just like them Germans have to!)
By Rikusu on October 20 2003, 12:45
They shouldn't! If all Japanese suddenly started speaking English, my study would become a rather redundant one
By Grauw on October 20 2003, 14:14
As if English is a beautiful language...
By snout on October 20 2003, 19:09
Your study would really become redundant when all Japanese started to study Dutch, Rikusu-san
By BiFi on October 20 2003, 19:13
I thought Rikusu kinda studied Dutch before he started to study Japanese
By konamiman on October 20 2003, 21:57
Why english is so easy to read/write and so damn difficult to hear/speak? Japanese sounds much more clear for me...
By mars2000you on October 20 2003, 22:19
Japanese is something like Italian : all letters are pronounced and almost each time on the same way .... but writing Japanese is very difficult !
In English, some letters have different pronounciations .... that's a problem that you don't have in Italian or Japanese
But there are other curiosities : in French, my first language, you have letters that you don't pronounce at all : some "e" ..... and for example, in my first name, "Benoît", you don't pronounce the "t" and the accent on the "i" is a trace of old French "Benoist" with a "s" that you don't pronounce ! So, I think that French is more complicated than English !!!
By GuyveR800 on October 20 2003, 23:32
English is a speech disorder.

beer, creature, believe, receive, be, monkey, fuzzy
All different ways to write ONE sound (the 'ee' sound), and that's just an exmaple. As a result, there are FAR more dyslexic people in england/america than italy or spain.

By sander on October 21 2003, 00:05
Believe me, most dyslexic people know how to read "Beer" hehe.
By snout on October 21 2003, 00:13
