Websites - MSX Solutions giga update

After nearly a year of silence and a lot of hard work, MSX user only_69, the Columbus of the MSX scene, has released an enormous amount of new maps today! It goes without saying that these maps are extremely handy for gamers who are struggling to finish a relevant game. At the same time these maps are also a valuable resource for game makers, to give them an insight into the design of games.

The new maps are:
  • Joe Blade (update)
  • Addicta Ball
  • Astro Marine Corps Part II
  • Army Moves - Part I
  • Army Moves - Part II
  • Alien Syndrome
  • After the War - Part II
  • Break-In
  • Black Beard
  • Dynamite Dan
  • Game Over Part I
  • Game Over Part II
  • Howard the Duck
  • Livingstone II - Part II
  • Mobile Planet Suthirus
  • Nonamed
  • Phantomas Saga Infinity
  • Titanic - Part II
  • Ulises
  • Wizard's Lair
Happy gaming!

Tks ro. Finally big news in the frontpage!
By wolf_ on July 27 2007, 21:31
suspicious!

Howard the Duck, the pic next to the bottom-right pic says:
MSXSOLUT
COMMODORE

What to think of that, hmm!
By only_69 on July 28 2007, 00:31
Sorry Wolf,

I didn't get it!
By Ivan on July 28 2007, 22:51
Are some of those maps from ZX Spectrum? I never saw characters in red in After the War...
By viejo_archivero on July 29 2007, 00:14
Ivan: I guess those arrows are there just to explain in the map that the elevator goes down. only69 usually adds arrows, numbers, etc... to explain map things and items
wolf_: suspicious?
only69: GREAT update! (including a Karoshi game!). Keep on the good work!

I was not referring to the arrows. Take a look at 'After The War - Part I (06/10/2005)', you can see 'FASE1', 'FASE2' and 'FASE3' in red.

Ivan, I painted the letters to be red, since when I made the map, I almost could not distinguish the stages of the game. now, it is better to see and understand the different stages. And no, the maps are all made using MSX games. No spectrum games at all. And i think, even the spectrum game would not have this red color.

Viejo, Tks for the support. Nice game this phantomas infinity game. There are other Karoshi games in my looong TO DO list.

Wolf, very suspicious indeed! He he, I did not have too many spaces to put the entire name. Are you still with that fight with amiga?

Thanks for the explanation. I said that because some Spectrum games used colour that -unfortunately- was lost when ported to MSX. For instance the laser beam in Freddy Hardest (red in Spectrum) or the bar in Chase HQ (when you hit the target vehicle).
