MSX World 2005 - stageschedule update

Fairs & Meetings - MSX World 2005 - stageschedule update

 Saturday, May 07, 2005 - 10:23
 Submitted by: Bart
 Topic: Fairs & Meetings

The stageschedule we posted about earlier, has been changed quite a bit. The five activities have been cut back to four, but the total length of these activities have been extended with half an hour.
  • 11:15 - 13:15 - A lecture from Kazuhiko Nishi on the present position of MSX and its future. Subjects of this lecture are, amongst others, the One Chip MSX1 and the influence MSX has had on current generation computers. Besides the time-extension, the stageschedule also mentions a special guest during this lecture: the product marketing manager of Altera Ltd. Altera delivers the Altera Cyclone EP1C12 FPGA, the heart of the One Chip MSX1.

  • 13:30 - 15:00 - MSXPLAYer symposium on the One Chip MSX1 and MSXPLAYer for mobile phones. The symposium will be led by MSX Association. ASCII Corporation and ASCII hardware solutions will present the One Chip MSX1 and are followed by MediaWave Corporation, Bazix and Reakosys Inc. who will present MSXPLAYer for mobile phones.

  • 15:15 - 16:00 - A lecture on the challenges of Project EGG by Yuji Ueda of Gaiax and Naoto Suzuki of D4 Enterprise. Additional to previous reports there will also be some guests starring this lecture: representatives of Temple Studios, Alpha Ltd., Kure Software and JCGA.

  • 16:15 - 17:00 - Announcement of the winners of MSX Magazine 3's short BASIC programming contest
This means the last lecture of which the contents were not confirmed, does not take place afterall.

This seems to be one of the biggest MSX events held in the past decade! Quite some schedule. Pity I couldn't make it...
