MSX evolution poll down, foreign fairs poll up

Polls - MSX evolution poll down, foreign fairs poll up

A new month, a new poll! Prior to presenting the new poll, let's have a look at the outcome of the poll from January. How should the MSX evolve? After 329 votes, here are the final results:

MSX should:
  1. be expanded with any modern expansions: 35.87%
  2. be expanded as long as it generally breathes retro: 32.83%
  3. stay a retro machine: 31.31%
The results turn out to be evenly spread, and they have been like that for weeks already. It clearly shows there are MSX'ers with different intentions: some people are all into retro, while others want to connect the latest gadgets to their MSX. There's a slight advantage for people who like to enhance their MSX with the latest gadgets, but it's no vast majority. Conclusion? A conclusion could be that software- and hardware manufacturers can't really cancel out any of these options, there are people who like retro software (like for a bare MSX1) and there are people who would like software for their massively boosted MSX.

The new poll is about visiting foreign MSX fairs/meetings: would you take the plane, boat or any other means to travel vast distances and travel for several hours to visit an MSX fair/meeting abroad? For instance, would the Dutch people visit MadriSX, would Spanish people visit Bussum, would non-Scandinavian people visit MSX Info Update in Finland (which may take many hours of flying already even if you actually live in Finland)? Pack your bags, and cast your vote!

If you have an idea for a interesting poll, send your idea to poll@msx.org and we will consider running your suggestion for a month.

MadriSX? That's a retro fair, no longer a fair dedicated only to the MSX.
