On
January 20th MSX Resource Center and
MSX Café, now
PassionMSX, started the MSXArt'06 challenge. After an
extension of the deadline the time has now come to close the challenge.
Unfortunately the RPG-art part of the challenge did not get MSX graphicians, who are perhaps all focusing on the
MSXdev competition, active. Only one entry was submitted:
Forces Beyond Empire, which are nice SCREEN 8 RPG drawings by Ernst Schuller who has, with that, won a printed MSX Calendar of the year 2007 with the 12 best artworks sent in to MSXArt'06 and an MSX T-Shirt.
The wallpaper contest did get a lot more entries, amongst which the same prize is to be divided as well. Here's an overview of all submitted entries:
The last 10 entries in the list (starting with Ninja Kun) have been added to the
MSX Resource Cener downloads section today. While you enjoy downloading these wallpapers, telling what you think about them in the comments and, perhaps, actually use them as your new wallpaper on your desktop the jury will decide which 12 artworks are to be used in the MSX 2007 calendar and which one of them is the winner.
