Games & Demos - MSXdev '07 - BeTiled!

 Topic: Games & Demos

CEZ Games Studio have finished their MSXdev'07 entry BeTiled!, a puzzle game already available for ZX Spectrum where you have to align crystals in rows or columns of at least three. It comes as a 48kB ROM file, requires 16kB of RAM and does support SCC/SCC+ cartridges (inserted in another slot). If you play the game on a MSX2 computer or higher you will enjoy additional effects and a special colour palette. A ROM label and instructions in TXT format are available as well.

*** update *** A new version has been uploaded!

Nice, this seems interesting enough ... Support for Snatcher Sound Cartridge, MSX2 palettes. Since I can't find much Columns clones, maybe this could be a "generic" substitute !!!

Nice game... it's pretty funny

In BlueMsx works with mirrored mapper but I can't load it in 'real MSX' with ODO. Have you tested it?
By Imanok on December 28 2007, 23:07
I have just tried it with ODO... first of all it seems to hang, but then it does reset and works ok.

It works well with ODO

ok! the rom was corrupted while I passed it to CF.

Now works perfect

BTW, have you seen the Rom label?
It kicks ass.

Nice game too; I must admit enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would when I first saw the screenshot.

I really anticipated this game.... I love bejeweled and I seriously love this game!

add this to the romdb.xml file (just after an </software> tag. Make sure to keep valid XML!

If you like Puzzle games and "Bejeweled" (Diamond mine), you should try some matrix rotation game with numbers and colors ... It is almost the same !!!

Like the old Columns is much like a Connect Four (in that case connect three) with multiple jewels and dropping features ...
