Daedalian Opus is the second game from Karoshi Corporation that has entered the MSXdev'06 contest. A bit earlier they released Malaika - Prehistoric Quest, a platform game. Daedalian Opus is a puzzle game for MSX that was originally released by Vic Tokai in 1990 for the Nintendo GameBoy. You can find the game, that comes in a 32 kB ROM file, on the MSXdev website.

What a surprise! I had this game in a '16 in 1' cartridge for GameBoy.

Karoshi seems to be getting a hang of this secrecy thing as well
By wolf_ on January 01 2007, 13:41
hey, didn't we patent secrecy and last-minute entries? o_O
By manuel on January 01 2007, 15:09
SOrry, wolf, there exists a lot of prior art!
By pitpan on January 02 2007, 10:34
Actually, it wasn't about secrecy at all. The thing is that Karoshi decided to code this game just 3 weeks ago. Less than 3 weeks is quite a short period of time for game development.

Ok, I know that RNFF time frame was slightly shorter

Btw pitpan, I tried to post messages on Karoshi's forum but nobody has validated my account. Could you validate it?
By pitpan on January 02 2007, 12:50
Sorry for the delay, Ivan. Everything should be Ok now: you've been accepted and an e-mail sent to your account. Enjoy!
