On April 17th, 2006, the
fourth edition of MSXdev was launched. Now, the MSXdev team have announced the jury to this succesful MSX1 game programming competition. This year, the jury consists out of no less than three members, being:
- Cas Cremers, founder of the well known Dutch MSX group Parallax in 1989, creating such legendary games as Vectron, Arc, Magnar, Black Cyclon, Blade Lords, Akin and the Core Dump promo
- Jesús Pérez Rosales ([DK]), member of Team Bomba, for which he was involved in level design, improving gameplay and testing Bombaman
- Philip Pera (msxgamesbox) , webmaster of The Msx Games bOX, who also maintains the MSX Museum bOX, MSX Café and the Homebrew MSX gaming list. Apart from that, he also organizes the MSXart competitions and the hosts the Karoshi forum
As you can read in
this extended newspost on MSXdev'06 the programming contition runs right until the end of the year, after which these members of the jury will rate every single entry against several criteria in order to reach a verdict. At the moment, no less than 4 games have already been announced to enter in the competition, about which you can find information on the
MSXdev site as well.
