With the end of the 2009 edition of MSXdev steadily running towards us, games in the figurative 100m sprint are nearing the finish line. The first to arrive today is X0rz, a conceptually intuitive puzzle game, created by Metal Soft (of PWND! fame) with a helping hand from Hydragon. Lazy and impatient penguins can view the game on YouTube.

There is a fatal flaw in the game at the final stage. This level can't be beat, I have submitted a fixed ROM to the MSXDev09 team.... I'm sorry for this error.

I got into the BASIC prompt after playing it for 5 minutes!
Let this be a lesson to always have your game tested by a fool in order to make sure it's totally fool-proof!

I already got a few bug reports, the game was mainly made within 24 hours (again)

here is a new version.

demonseed: how did you get into the basic prompt? Was it line 1660?
By DemonSeed on December 02 2009, 20:01
I think to have caused it myself by excessive spastic keyboard fondling in blueMSX, LOL.
Tried the strangest things to reproduce it, but only succeeded by changing rom without reset.
Please excuse the false alarm then, vampier.
BTW it was line 1440.

Nice puzzle game, it's quite entertaining

Did you use just plain basic to do it??
By Hydragon on December 11 2009, 02:40
Latok yes, the game is full Basic.
