Most important MSX news of 2004 [round 1]

For the second year in a row we are going to try and find out which of the newsposts published on the MRC was the most important MSX news of the year. After a round of nominating, which resulted in 56 nominees, the time has come to do the first of four rounds of voting in our forums before we end op with the grand finale: the frontpage poll.
