Development - New section dedicated to MSX-UNAPI on Konamiman's site

Néstor Soriano, aka konamiman, has just added to his website a new section dedicated to MSX-UNAPI (MSX unified API definition and discovery standard), a proposal for a coding standard aimed to hardware and software developers which provides a standarized way to define, implement, discover and use APIs, so that devices with the same function made by different developers have compatible APIs.

You can discuss anything related to the developement of the MSX-UNAPI specifications in this forum thread of our active MSX Forum.

UNAPI for msx is a waste of time, please release Dumas and let this things to God.
By Prodatron on July 26 2007, 20:54
Well, I guess, that some of the todays developers won't spend their time with learning and following standard specs, but at least Nestors specs will give you a lot of ideas how to make your "APIs" more structured, logical and userfriendly
By Tanni on July 27 2007, 14:00
Morg, your comment is unfair to konamiman. If he decides to spend time for UNAPI, then it's his decision and it's his time, not yours. It's unfair to discourage people willing to do something for MSX.
By Tanni on July 27 2007, 14:11
Prodatron, if somebody likes to take ideas from Nestors specs about making his APIs more structured, logical and userfriendly, why not immediately adopting the whole specs?
By konamiman on July 30 2007, 12:47
Tanni, don't worry; Morg is my friend (almost my neighbour, actually) and he uses to joke about me. I do the same with him, by the way. (For example, he uses to install Linux and go back to Windows once a month... this is more than enough to laugh at him!)
