One Chip MSX hits the streets in Japan

MSX Revival - One Chip MSX hits the streets in Japan

 Topic: MSX Revival

During the Kanazawa contents market 2006 the first One Chip MSX computers hit the streets. The Japanese retro computing portal RetroPC have managed to get their hands on one and have taken pictures of the box and One Chip MSX casing.

November 19th, 2006 - 15 years after the MSX turboR, the new MSX computer is there. For two more days - or until it's sold out - the Western edition of the One Chip MSX is available on pre-order at Bazix.

Bad timing!. Now it must to compete with the PS3 in the shelves...

By Grauw on November 20 2006, 04:49
I haven’t seen any PS3s on any shelves… So I don’t think there’s much to compete with .

IMHO the picture on the ocm box is not very nice... maybe I'm a bit perverse but, at first, it gives me a pedo-pornographic impression... then looking with more attention it is clear that it cannot be...

What a package!OK!it´s not looking like the newest console-gadgets boxes, but looks so poor and...freaky!
Looks horrible for me!
By Ivan on November 20 2006, 10:50
That box is ugly and looks cheap
By Ivan on November 20 2006, 10:55
Anyway the important are the contents, not the container
By manuel on November 20 2006, 21:45
Definately looks like some guy is chopping a child's head in 2 with a Japanese samurai blade!

What? No 'waiting in line for a One Chip MSX' footage on a YouTube link? Darn!
