Games & Demos - TNI to attend RU Barcelona

It's been a while since we have heard about Guru Logic Champ. Internal affairs had stalled the nearly finished project years ago after it was presented as a game with a promising future. It would've been a game even to be commercially published, licenced by Compile. The game was to be an MSX port of the popular Gameboy Advance hit by Compile in 2001. By now, one would assume the game had become vaporware.. or is it? AAMSX reports that TNI is to show two projects on the RU Barcelona, on the seventh of June 2008. One of these projects seems to be Guru Logic Champ! The other project announced is an MSX2 version of Gauntlet, of which any details haven't been made public yet.

Please change the game names. I´d hate to see both cancelled due to some copyright stupidity.

Why would Guru Logic have to be renamed?
By wolf_ on May 24 2008, 09:40
What's the point of that messy Gauntlet picture? Map editor with totally random content? VRAM dump? What?
By manuel on May 24 2008, 11:25
Well, I'm glad this stuff (GLC) may finally get a chance to get released. Gauntlet is also a great game! Let's see what time brings.
By Rikusu on May 24 2008, 12:25
@Leandro: changing the name won't prevent that. The game itself should be modified enough as well to be sure there's no copyright violation. However, if there's a license to release the game, there's no problem either, of course.

mm, looks like AAMSX has withdrawn this news item..

Wasn't Guru Logic Champ released long time ago? I have it installed on my PocketPC! It was released with MSX Magazine #2... Maybe it was only a demo? I haven't played too much with it because it's too slow on my device...
