The MSX Cartridge Shop: Caos Begins on Cartridge

Games & Demos - The MSX Cartridge Shop: Caos Begins on Cartridge

Only a couple of years ago, MSX cartridges belonged only to a distant past. But now, thanks to the efforts of skilled people in the MSX community, the cartridge production has strongly increased.

The MSX Cartridge Shop is a new web page dedicated to new products on cartridge for MSX. One of the first products released by the MSX Cartridge Shop is Caos Begins. This game, developed by Hikaru Games, ranked the 1st place in the MSXdev'07 competition, as well as being selected as the game with best graphics, best music and most polished. The cartridge is presented into a 10x15x2cm, shrink wrapped, packaging together with 16 pages color manual and sold for €18 (excluding shipment). Orders can be placed online from the MSX Cartridge Shop itself. It was also announced in the Karoshi Forums that the game will be available in RetroMadrid, next saturday, at the ZST stand.

Other products, such as the Manuel Pazos' MegaFlashSCC, will be soon described in the MSX Cartridge Shop, but they are already available and can be bought online.

Cool!!

any other titles planned?

By the way: where are they shipping from/where are they located? some info about shipping costs would be nice....
By Guillian on March 05 2008, 12:36
More titles will be available in a near future.

We are in Spain. So the shipping costs are about 8 EUR to Europe. Anyway, probably you can order the same products from Sunrise soon.

Looks very interesting
Clear descriptions of the products and good screenshots/photographs.
Too bad though that the entire site is in Flash... reduces the usability of the entire website quite a bit under linux where flash support still isn't a hundred percent...

What's the shipping to United States?
By Guillian on March 05 2008, 19:05
Shipping costs to United States are probably the same, about 8 EUR. I have to check it at the post office.

Good initiative! I think I want that game on cart. ;-)

The web is working fine here:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-ES; rv:1.8.1.10) Gecko/20071115 Iceweasel/2.0.0.10

Are those plastic cases compatible with Konami/Sony layout?

If so, will there be an option to buy empty plastic cases?

If so, will there be plastic cases molded from colored see-through plastics?

Something along the lines of RetroUSB NES cases

Great site I hope the amount of stuff you offer will indeed grow and availability through e.g. Sunrise would be ideal for the Dutch userts!

Saeba: running Debian? (it rules!)
By SaebaMSX on March 08 2008, 17:35
Hey dhau, long time no see!

These plastic boxes are ASCII like, they are not konami compatible (if we talk about the holes of the board).

Manuel, I had debian SID for some years, but my desktop computer was not working for some time (1 year). I reinstalled it again 2 months ago and installed debian again, but I let it to be as etch. In fact it is an Athlon 500 and it is too slow to use it.

[OFFTOPIC] Saeba: I've always been running 'testing'. Stability and still new software. THe ideal combination, if you ask me. Anyway... too offtopic!
