Prodatron, the developer who never seems to take a break from expanding SymbOS, currently has his driver for the Graphics9000 nearly ready. Two videos of SymbOS in action, using the Graphics9000 configuration, have been placed on YouTube. With this driver, an often outspoken wish of many MSX fans seems to have become a reality!

| By Prodatron on September 10 2007, 18:50 | Please note, that the resolution in the demo is not that impressive, as I currently get only B2 (384x240) mode working with my TFT display. B3 (512x212) and B4 (768x240) are supported as well, but make problems with my TFT.
What is impressive is the speed (e.g. see the page jumping in SymZilla at the beginning of the 2nd video) and the virtual desktop of 1000x220 pixel

| By Prodatron on September 11 2007, 01:08 | Yes, it's a TV-TFT from Thomson, which was not that expansive but has a lot of usefull inputs: Scart, SVideo, RGB, Antenna and VGA.
Usually I use SVideo for my TurboR and Scart for my MSX2. Btw, I wonder if I can connect the GFX9000 also to the VGA input via a different cable?

| By QuinnTheEskimo on September 13 2007, 12:54 | You need a vga converter box for that kind of stuff. Unfortunately the box will reduce the picture quality so much that it's better to use the S-Video/RGB connector on the TV instead.

| By QuinnTheEskimo on September 13 2007, 16:41 | It depends on the "box". Those which are able to convert from RGB to VGA are much more expensive than those which only convert S-Video and CVBS. That's why I think it's best to use the RGB scart connection on the TV instead.

with veejaying some people use it to go from VGA to composite (so you can plug it into a mixer).
but I guess it drops frames or it's costing you quality
