X-Tazy introdemo 1.2 - XviD video

Games & Demos - X-Tazy introdemo 1.2 - XviD video

 Topic: Games & Demos

On May 3rd a new, previously unreleased, version of the X-Tazy introdemo was released. X-Tazy is a highspec (turboR/Moonsound/GFX9000) MSX shooter which - after a long period of inactivity - might become opensource in order to finish development after all. As rumor has that development of the game was close to finished already, and there were many positive reactions to the release of the introdemo, we really hope this will happen somewhere in the future.

As not every MSX user has a setup as advanced as the one needed to run this introdemo, MSX emulators can come in handy. On June 5th we reported about a video created by Manuel Bilderbeek on openMSX. MRC regulars Meits and W76NearDark didn't feel this was enough and took their DVD recording equipment to create a video in as high a quality as possible, recorded directly from the real thing. The result is a 42MB AVI file (encoded with XViD) which is really, really, really worth having a look at. Enjoy, and be gentle on our webserver!

For some reason it appears to be a widescreen conversion... However... The VOB file is just 4:3 and the encoder was set to that format as well...

And that reason is that that the Dutch football fans finally can stop making up excuses for buying their WK breedbeeld tv.

Solamente una palabra. FANTASTICO!

Ver desarrollos asi hacen que uno siga haciendo fuerzas para que el estandar continue adelante.

El juego parece que sera excelente!, los felicito a los programadores, realmente fabuloso, sigan asi, no paren!

(haven't seen it yet)
but is it still the INTRO DEMO of the game?
By wolf_ on June 30 2006, 12:15
..and the titlescreen and some weapon select..

Is there anymore than the intro? Don't get me wrong but I don't have it with people showing only intro's and titlescreens. Mostly this implies that they are more busy with fancy gfx and a nice story. When they should focus on the gameplay (Wether to see that they're plans are possible or not).

I think it's something else. XTazy was being made during the start of the silent years iirc. Tons o' ppl were fleeing towards PC or went to study back then.

Back in those years I remember seeing a playable demo of XTazy (one or two levels) so there's got to be more than the intro demo...

I would really like to see some of those shots.

Huey - have a look over here and at the pictures that follow. Cheers!
