Nice game.
A classic for 8-bit systems!!!
I like the powers of the Rings and the special items ... Probably someday I will finish this game!

Don't miss the silver !!!
Ys books I & II ...

This game has been ported and remade so many times, I'm surprised if anyone can't finish it with their eyes closed by now. MSX, NES, SMS, Turbo Duo, Apple IIGS, multiple PC versions, Saturn... those are just the ones I've seen...

"Ys"?

Quite a strange name for a game.

...Is it any good?
By Huey on January 08 2008, 11:25
@Dseed: Nah. No good at all. Its the standard japanese MSX garbage.
By DemonSeed on January 08 2008, 11:41
Oh, that sucks.

Glad I didn't waste my time with it then.
Thanks!

First someone need to have a disc to play ... In the past, I only got the Ys 3 for MSX2 and Ys 3 for NEC Japanese PC Engine CD-ROM ROM system ...

Wanted to get the not expensive Xak series and Ys I and II from Takeru, but for some odd reasons. At that time importing (after the liberation of the computer market on Brasil) MSX items weren't 'popular' anymore ...

Is the name of a beautiful legendary city ('stint on water' by a Demon) devastated by a demoniac entity ... A similar story was included on Ys 3 Wanderers From Ys. In fact it is not a "side-story" as most people believed, it is the Ys Legend.

Ys

Some people think that Paris (the City of Light) was named after that legendary City.

Cool!

This, I actually didn't know (and I can't be the only one)! Thanks for the info!
