Moonsound problem

I just got one Moonsound cartridge from Marktplaats (not the one I just ordered from Sunrise) and it isn't working. What could be done to it? The contacts were very dirty, but I think I got them cleaned with some alcohol, but it still isn't working. I tried to play Sonyc, but it did find just internal fm-sound and just played the sound effects without any music at all. Same happened with Pumpkin Adventure III and no music was heard.
Damn it bugs me, when people don't know how to look after old items and properly store them!

Hmmm sounds like some juice/cola/drink was spilled over it and got inside, I hope it didn't cost too much, otherwise it would be an idea to check the inside carefully if possible.

I opened it and there was some small stains in the pcb...

Does anyone knows about the policy of Marktplaats to get money back when items are not working?
I also got a slot expander there and it have some strange issues. Maybe I'll start a new topic of it.

I use 'kontact 60' video cleaner to clean 'dirty' pcb's it is not agressive, non-corrosive and evaporates quickly and almost completely. You could try that. Also open h'r up to and post pictures ?

AFAIK you are on your own when you have issues. Marktplaats is not going to help you.
Just try to contact the seller.

You could file a charge of fraud. But I don't know if you will have much of a chance.
Marktplaats is a dutch auction site not oriented on other countries. It willl be along drive to go visit the person in private.

To prevent this problem I always try to pick up items when I buy them at Marktplaats. Marktplaats is known for its frauds. But probably your case is just a matter of bad luck.

Well, I hope he's honest enough and will respond. At least he's been five years there doing business... Of course there's always the Paypal debate when items are not like they should be. I have some tough luck with these items, but it's nothing that could be helped. Today I also received game, which had it's box broken in the shipping.

It came without any cables and manuals, so obviously I thought that when I just insert it in to the slot, it will give sound from my television speakers. So, it won't input sound anywhere else than from this mini-jack? And what about that Sonyc cartridge can't find it inserted? I think it should at least give some kind of signal. Well, I hope you could give few more hints, as the seller responded and promised to repair it, if it is broken. I would be ashemed, if it is just because of my stupidity.

Moonsound doesn't send signal through the MSX, just through the jack output. Beware this output is too loud for headphones. It will deform. The only way is to hook it up to an amplyfier.

Damn! It was this easy to fix!
Thanks guys! (tested with Pumpkin Adventure III).

Now, I just need a longer cable. My Onkyo amplifier is many metres away and my girlfriend is not very fond of all these new cables blocking moving in living room. So, better to have them very long to be able to hide them under the carpets etc. (not meaning having long girlfriends to be hid under the carpets)
