Hi guys, anyone knows how SCC output is formed?
I think that each channel data is added with 80h (to have waveform center in the middle of voltage scale), then all are summed (c1+c2+c3+c4+c5) resulting in maximal value of 4FBh on 11 output lines. Is my assumption correct? Thanks.

And is SCC output volume (i.e. digital value) normalized, or linear?

Almost, you're forgetting about the volume scaling. So the range of possible values is only [40 .. 1235]. Jon De Schrijder once measured it on real HW. See the comments at the top of the SCC implementation in openMSX (lines 5-32) for details.
