Hello guys, anyone knows if alarm function was ever supported on the MSX2/MSX2+/MSX Turbo?
In other words - can I reuse alarm space to store some data without worrying to get it back corrupt?
AFAIK, probably on all of those. But only as a hardware pin that goes nowhere, read: as long as you don't wire up anything to that pin, you don't see anything happening.
With 'alarm space' you mean the RTC registers that set the time @ which the alarm should go off? In that case, it's probably fair game... (since it might cause alarm pin to activate, but in practical machines you wouldn't see that).
Note that some other software also uses it, so you will get conflicts then.
