Gunbee F-99: The Kidnapping of Lady Akiko

Ok not exactly MSX Software and gaming but withot doubt a game that tried to portray the look and feel of an MSX game (like La-Mulana did) - I'm a little surprised that nobody has ever mentioned this game here!

But unlike La-Mulana, it was release for the Commodore Amiga back in 1998. Some say it's a blatant TwinBee knockoff, although I consider it to be Amiga's unofficial TwinBee port Smile and a very good one after all, check:

It was created as a work of passion by a single peruvian Amiga programmer (a MSX fan of course), so a lawsuit by Konami would be really unfit lol. And it is not exactly TwinBee, it has its own characters and differences.

It is cheaper, but it is a clone. There are free demos on the AmiNet. It is nice but only works on AGA machines (full 32-bit machines with 8-bit AGA graphics).

You can order a copy of the game and The Amiga Forever online edition to play the game on PC.
Much like other clones of Bee games it is not widely spread ...
It is only a few bucks.

Yup, it's worth.
Researching further I've noticed that it is actually based in Detana!! TwinBee for PC Engine/TurboGrafx console.

It is cool. For 2 Euros, it is not bad. The graphics are nice. The only problem is that it is a "fan" game, not a official game conversion.

Hi, I'm Lobsang Alvites (Mr.Byte), the creator of Gunbee F-99. I just registered to this forum to thank you all for the positive comments I read. It is really nice to see that even 12 years after I programmed it there is yet people who discovers and likes Gunbee F-99 Smile BTW, if someone finds the game too difficult just search on google for the cheats Smile
