Greetings MSX Sceners!
A bunch of weeks ago I attended at a retro computer gathering and layed eyes at a Spectravideo SV-738 MSX (X'Press).
At first sight I wasn't that impressed but when I managed to get the guy to open it up I noticed this was not "just another", this SV-738 was upgraded to a MSX 2 with 128Ram, RGB modification and a replaced floppy disk(I did quite some google research there).
That was how it all began I bought that MSX and well a few weeks later I got myself a Moonsound and an IDE-ATA-CF expansion. Now, still I haven't got too much time to explore them, yet and well I am in a bit of help to get them rolling but that's not what this topic is about.
So who am I?
I am a musician both professionally and demoscene wise. I've been into the demoscene since the late 1985 where it all started with a Commodore 64 (ending up with somewhat 11 of them now). Then I got more and more involved doing several of demos, music and even some graphics for groups as well as for the groups I am a member in. Went from C-64 to Amiga to Atari, to PC, back to Atari and C64 and heh yeah I have managed to get myself a pretty phat setup of computers now(I have pics incase someone want porn to look at)
So with all this said this is a renew journey for me, but yeah I actually had a childhood friend who got an MSX and we coded games on it and heh I was totally sold on F1-Spirit, Nemesis(Gradius), Salamander along with many more games! and Today when looking at the MSX I have to say it's a fantastic computer to play around with! Lovely.
Okay I won't write a novel for now but this was my introduction.
Have a nice day,
