Some JP games are crowded with text, and little action, such as 'Lenam', by Hertz. If those games would be translated, would we really benefit from those txt adventures, or do we end up with a boring JP game translated in boring english.. e.g. boring anyway?

Text adventures made in the UK were quite popular those days. It wasn't my kind of game to be honest. I'm not that much into text adventures, though fascinated by, for example, the Snatcher story I'd like to play that text adventure once it's translated. I noticed quite some text adventures were released in Japan (more than the UK did back then) and they seem to adore it. Maybe if you're fascinated by them in general or a story you got to know in another way then the text adventure these type of games might be quite nice to understand the full story. When you'have some kind of fascination for text adventures, it might be beneficial to translate them. If you're not into text adventures, you'd probably think it's a waste of time which should be spent on translating games with more action.

I do understand those Japanese text RPG's and I had a look at Lenam some time ago to see whether it would be worth translating. But I thought it was boring anyway. I guess you just have to be fond of the genre. If you don't, you probably won't enjoy such a game anyway. And especially Lenam, at least the first part, wasn't really interesting.
