Hello everyone!

I'm looking for a very old not-so-poplular MSX game. It's very basic. You're a cop, wearing a blue uniform, with a tall blue hat, and holding a stick... The object of the game is to catch the prisoner who's wearing a black and white horizontaly striped clothes. There are about three or four stories, you start from the bottom and try to catch him before he reaches the end of the highest storie. Hmm... I think there were also elevators and escalators in the game too....

The intro screen is black, with a big white rectangle on the top. The title is in the white rectangle. Around the rectangle are black and white circular lights that go around it... If I'm not mistaking, the intro's music is "The Entertainer"....

Please help!

I think it is Keystone Kapers by Activision.

Inspector Z, is also a possibility!
Was it with a big dog on the intro?

In Japan it's released as a ROM, but I believer it's released on tape in Europe.

I have it as Japanese ROM, so it definitely exists as rom.
I don't know about a tape version...

Well when I said "all the roms I want" I ment all the games I want, be it in rom, dsk, bin or bas format. But the Keystone Capers I found is a rom image. I can probably find the link to it too if you want...

People calling all media images 'rom' are generally considered lame, so be careful what you say

Ah, memories...

I entered the MSX scene with a Philips VG-8010 which only had 32kB of RAM. Keystone Capers was one of the few titles that would actually run on the machine from tape, so I played it a lot! I still remember this weird PSG music it had... I think they were trying to immitate a police whistle or something.

Any other games you are looking for? It's a nice quiz for the veterans!

(if you can't think of any, just make up a few)
