Yeah. That reset button isn't like the reset buttons on later systems. It breaks the circuit to actually switch off the machine. In the cartridge there are two pins that connects the circuit again... Pins 44 and 46 are a parallel connection over that circuit breaking switch. These were one of the systems that inhibited inserting and removing cartridges while the system is on since it automatically turns it off when inserting and removing one.

Ah! So THAT's what those pins on the cartridge slot are for! How strange that so few MSX's actually used them...

Thank god someone invented the switch on ur SCC cart back then, or i would never have been able to load up the first scc demo. That 'reset' button really drove me crazy actually
