hmm.. I'll dig in the musictech history for that.. the technique was known and used long before konami did it... some early draw-a-waveform-and-play-it synth was the fairlight iirc, or maybe the synclavier .. both with a heavy pricetag (you could buy a castle in south france for that!).


I didn't say anything about the technique, just the term 'wavetable'. Although I'm not at all sure about that
