The difference between 640k or 128k for custom samples is like day and night. Or, to keep it more musically, it's the difference between cheap lofi-sounds and orchestral sounds. Thousends of reasons to get extra sram

You should've worked for Sunrise when they released that thingy! Now you're stuck with many users wich have only 128kB SRAM and a few freaks who have 512 or 640kB.

Up to you who you want to make your game for: all users or just the freaks. I'm certainly not going to expand mine, since I'm sure I'll only need that extra SRAM for that game you're planning to release and it hasn't even been released yet

(Okay, okay... I admit. I would fuck up my OPL4 if I build in that extra SRAM myself and all soldering freaks I once knew live quite far away from me these days.)

Well, that's the idea.. ofcourse you should only buy extra ram when there's content, but on the other hand, developers must be sure that ppl are willing to buy that extra ram then!

Good luck with the cooking! I'm sure your meal will taste delicious, but I can only taste it when you deliver a spoon and fork as well.

Please contact sunrise and ask them whether they would supply an SRAM expansion along with your game. I.e.: a bare version and an expansion version. Like the SCC cartridges: deliver the extras along with the stuff.

Please? I'll even consider fucking up my Moonsound.

Can you guys continue this conversation @ www.kitchen.com or www.cooking.com? (It doesn't matter which... they're both the same... and somehow their site reminds me of the fabulous Dreamcast).
