Mid 90's it became known how to expand the sample memory of MSX-AUDIO to 256 KB. A few programs I know support this memory: - Unknown Reality megademo
- Sampbox v4.3 Macro (a sample recording tool)
- Voicer v1.10 (another sample recording tool)
Are there more programs having support for the 256 KB sample expansion and if so: what are they called and who developed it? |

Meridian 1.xx does support it!
Too bad no one will ever get a hold on that one

Meridian had 256 KB sample ram support? What was the purpose of this then?

With 2 Music Modules, both containing 256KB sample RAM you could add some nice samples to your songs |

I didn't find anything about 256 KB sample ram support in the manual though.

With 18 channels, 2OPL and 4OPL support? That would be great. |

again, yup! (max. 32 channels) But not OPL4 register support. It just uses opl2, but you can use more than standard 9 channels.
(You could use 3 psg channels, 9 msx-music and 9 msx-audio and 1 msx-audio-sample which has a grant total of ALOT channels) all this will work perfect (well on turo-R it does )
(the manual doesn't say anything about sample ram indeed, I have never tested it though...) |
