Mid 90's it became known how to expand the sample memory of MSX-AUDIO to 256 KB. A few programs I know support this memory:
  • Unknown Reality megademo
  • Sampbox v4.3 Macro (a sample recording tool)
  • Voicer v1.10 (another sample recording tool)
Are there more programs having support for the 256 KB sample expansion and if so: what are they called and who developed it?

Meridian 1.xx does support it!
Too bad no one will ever get a hold on that one

With 2 Music Modules, both containing 256KB sample RAM you could add some nice samples to your songs

I didn't find anything about 256 KB sample ram support in the manual though.

With 18 channels, 2OPL and 4OPL support? That would be great.

again, yup! (max. 32 channels) But not OPL4 register support. It just uses opl2, but you can use more than standard 9 channels.
(You could use 3 psg channels, 9 msx-music and 9 msx-audio and 1 msx-audio-sample which has a grant total of ALOT channels) all this will work perfect (well on turo-R it does )

(the manual doesn't say anything about sample ram indeed, I have never tested it though...)
