I've been reading this forum for a long time. Now it's time to contribute my first post:

My favourite game-musics:

Salamander - stage 1 + stage 1 Boss
Nemesis 3 - introdemo
Usas - all levels
Bet Your Life - introdemo (Hi Jorito)

Well, it's difficult to choose the best MSX game song ever.

Back in the late eighties I was surprised how a very bad game like the Out Run MSX1 conversion had so good PSG tunes . So here is my vote:

Out Run MSX1 - Magical Sound Shower
Out Run MSX1 - Splash Wave

Yes! Only PSG!
And they were far better than the ones of the Out Run MSX2 Pony Canyon cartridge.

Testament - Intro
Ys 3 - Snow stage
Ys 3 - Clock tower
Penguin Adventure - Stage 3
Penguin Adventure - The stage with the snow-covered trees (stage number ?)

There are some tunes in Pumpkin Adventure 3 that are quite catchy, but I should look up exactly where they are played.

Note about Undeadline Intro: the synchronisation with the animations is absolutely great, but I'm not so sure it's nice music if you hear it without the visuals.

Nemesis 2 - Intro song
Penguin Adventure - ANY song and sound effect
Knightmare - level 1
F1 Spirit - End song
Maze of Galious - in-play song

(a lot of Konami, I know....)

Agreed. That's exactly what makes it so special.

One of my absolute favs, besides a whole list of songs already mentioned
10+ times, is

Hydefos - Intro

(It's apparently not a well-known game, but it's one of the few
shoot-em upper's I don't completely suck at playing *LOL* )

Snout, I wish you all the luck! MSX-ers apparently really want to show what their favorite tunes are, no matter if the songs already have been nominated 10 times or more

it'd help if ppl would be more specific about the individual tunes.. in some cases an intro consists of more parts (fray, xak 3), and just saying "the whole game" is a little extreme too

Better do something like: 'game' -' intro part 2 of 3', or 'intro 2/3'

Otherwise, with complete games nominated, think about the number of nominated tunes to (1) listen, and (2) to quote here! (wasn't there a topic once about the monthly bandwidth of MRC?)

As said in that topic. Bandwith really isn't an issue at the moment ;P Besides, MSX Radio is taking care of the listening-part of these songs.

However, I will get back on some submissions as 'entire game'-requests can be quite impossible

Solid Snake - all songs (except for the two hidden jazzy-sounding tunes)

Solid Snake's music is the best game music i have ever heard on any platform! It's just so emotionally connected to the game... unbelievable!

***

The others:

Space Manbow - Stage 2
Space Manbow - Intro

Usas - Stage 2

Nemesis 3 - Intro song

Salamander - Intro song

Quarth - all BGM's

Xak 3 - Intro part III
