Erhm, I've downloaded it twice, depacked it with Win XP's built-in zip depacker and also with RAR, tried it under MSX-DOS1 and MSX-DOS2 but every time the music is totally messed up as are the 3d animations...

Oh crap, just booting from an DOS1 disk isn't enough. If the ROM is DOS2 the demo won't run correctly, even if you only /load/ DOS1...

Anyway, runs fine now, thankx

If you're booting under DOS2 you can use map.com before starting the demo. Anyway, I'll make a patch to include DOS2 compatible mapper routine as soon as I have some time available.

Define "under DOS2" ? Like I said, I've got a bootable DOS1 floppy, but a DOS2 ROM. Now, if I boot from the DOS1 floppy then the DOS2 mapper shouldn't be active, right?

FYI, I patched the demo (as well as the MSX 20th Anniversary Demo), it now works under MSXDOS2 without having to use MAP.COM.

The bug that caused the MSX to crash after the logo fades out has been fixed too

Dunno if the file is replaced yet but I did send it to Snout.

I wonder if there is any progress on the other groups who are working on their own scroll & logo demo. Which problems do (or did) they bump into? If they managed to overcome a problem, how did they do it?

How are things going, groups?

The problem of the Latok & Snout group is the fact that Latok is on a holiday at the moment

I thought there were more groups working on one.
