I was just wondering if anybody involved in emulator coding was interested in source codes of N.O.P. products; including:
* Unknown Reality
* Traxplayer
* Sampbox

I still have all sources codes but if these can help devolping better emulators, let me know...

It would be quite useful to more people than just emulator developers to have these sources released if you ask me.

Yeah! Those sources could help MSX programmers learn more... It would be cool if they could be online somewhere! (http://map.tni.nl/ would be a great place)

Thanks!

I agree with the others that it's better to release the sources publicly. But if you don't wish to do that, NLMSX is very interested, correspond with the maintainer at hilderink (at) home (dot) nl

Well it seems that it might be available soon on this site... If not, I will make everything available on some other site. Still have to find those sources since it did not put them on CD in 1998.

And I someone can fix the timing for Sanyo MSX2+ and turboR

Although I faintly remember a version of UR for those computers being released. Does anyone have it?
If it's in the sources, that's fine too

Well we just stopped developing... We all had to go study something and we were not able to invest the time needed for further development of our software.

Also, Compjoetania sold all their MSX equipment and we lost our music composers. As for MMM we only needed people to create levels (we had our own level editor) and music composers to finish the product. We also needed to add some graphics for the interlevel demo's, but we had somebody to do this for us.

Nevertheless we still lacked the time and the third member of NOP (mark) left the country to study in Switserland.... so it ended there.

I will start uploading stuff tomorrow, but I don't know when it will be available for download on MRE.

BTW: There are 2 versions of UR. The 2.0 version has several fixes, but I can't remember the fixlist

We'll put the 2.0 version of UR up for download for sure

As for MMM... it would be cool if the sources and level-editor could be used by a team to finish this product after all. I for one would like to do some musix for this thingy!

If the MMM project is really at the state you talk about, I can't see any reason why this could not be finished by active hobbyists. This ofcource means, that the game source is awailable.

There are so many people makeing "dull" music disks with great skills, that giving music to N.O.P product could be a challenge for many composers.

If level editor works, then levels could be done as compo as well. For graphics this can be harder as I don't know so many graphic artists around anymore, but maybe we can talk around some artists by using the retro argument.

I bet also, that there are many people, who remember well the good old N.O.P, so that this game could be finished/restored without loosing the original N.O.P style.

I think, that Micro Mirror Men would have been coolest game at the time, and still it would be something, that has not been done on MSX platform before. The demo almost gave me hyperventilation, when it was released.
