Hi all, I'm new to this site and forum.
I have a MSX2 system from 1990, and the nostalgy finally bit me .
I've found this site from google and I have a very basic question:
- What should an old MSX2 user from the 90's that wants to enjoy all the fun again do?
- What's the best way to start?
Do we have tools? Emulators? Are old ROMs free? Are there new games ? Tools? Programs?
My system is a Talent MSX2 with 128Kb of RAM, I have a 5/14 floppy drive with many MSX1 and MSX2 games and I haven't tested the old floppies yet
Summarizing any advices, recommendations and pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Luigi.

Wow! Never heard of such an MSX2! An MSX2 with a 5 1/4 inch diskdrive? Quite an oddity. Anyway, what you could do best after buying a computer depends ofcourse on what you want to do with it. If you want to play games, try downloading some from the internet. Especially Japanese games are good and the best ones are translated to English. Tools etc. are available as well. There are various FTP-sites and the like where you can find many software titles. ROM's are officially not free, but you can find and download them anywhere on the internet. Good luck!

Yup seems to be strange I know a lot of "locals" had problems converting the games from the 31/2 floppies to 51/5, I have some games that use 2 51/5 disks like "Testament" and I can't remeber others. I know they were trying to convert "columns" to 51/4 and then....

You say I can download some games, my question is: How can I then copy/send the games from my PC to the MSX system ? I think I'm gonna have a lot of problems with my 5/14 drive, am I right?
