Recently found a Sony Hitbit 75B in the loft. Hasn't been used in about 20 years. It is mint in box and appears to be in the same condition as when it was new.

However, when its connected (using either scart or RF connection) the on-screen graphics are completely jumbled/scrambled with letters, characters & colours scattered around.

I suspect it could be, obviously, something wrong with the graphics output or that it is simply past it. Is is worth taking apart for a look, as it seems to be in A1 condition?

Thoughts?

Well, it is always good to save such an old machine from 'death'
Your description definitely seems to point to a broken graphics output.

Although I'm not an expert, it sounds like a problem with the VRAM.
