The game is called "Sea Sardine". It was released in 1991 by ASCII/MSX Magazine. It makes use of the scroll capabilities of MSX2+ computers.

Very tough/technical shooter. Recommended. I don't know if it is in Funet FTP.

What I remeber is that the game asked for a second disk that didn't exist... or at least I didn't have it...

In difficulty it beats Space Mambow. Sure. At least the two first levels that I've played.

Space Manbow lacks on difficulty. It is a shame...

this is a contrast with other Konami shooters, like Nemesis (Nemesis 2 is VERY difficult without continues). Nemesis 3 is a bit easier

Ahh... Sea Sardine... Great game. It's got some R-Type influences, with the 'drone' thing .

I wonder about that B-disk... Does it really exist?

Nemesis 3 is very playable indeed.. the only tricky part are those gravity field in level 3. I also have a strict order in which I activate new weapens etc. At level 3 I'm playing with 5 speed. That sortof has the same speed as the gravityfield speed. After the gravity terror I'll upgrade to max-speed. The rest is not so difficult.

You're playing the full game with full speed?! o.O
I usually get 2-4 speeds, AT MOST.

3 speed is good enough to pass the "turn back in time" stage

ehhh... max-speed for what? only to lose control of the ship
