what would be the next MSX up from this computer
I love its music keyboard and YRM-102 FM Voicing Program
would like to get more of the carts tho

trying to get hold of a
YRM-101 FM Music Composer

but as i was saying would like to get a MSX2 tho
but with the Yamaha having the Sound Cart on it that hooks up to the music keyboard

if i change i would have to get a new keyboard wouldnt i
unless the new one comes with a music keyboard!!

CX7M is the MSX2 version of CX5M.

Also, there's an adapter called Yamaha UCN-01, with which you can hook up the sound module and keyboard to ANY MSX.

And finally, CX5M II/128 is a MSX1, but relatively easily upgradeable to MSX2.

I never knew that an CX7M also exists, has this machine ever been available in holland?

The CX5M is pretty rare, it's very hard to get one, sometimes I see one on ebay or on a other marketplace, one day I was lucky, I saw one on Ebay, on my first bid, I could pick up the CX5M II for the little price of FL25,- I just killed my CX5M I module, by putting it wrong into a MSX2 with a selfmade connector. ( I know, they must put me behind bars )

I didn't know that there was an adapter UCN-01, but I can use one.

For the music, the MSX I is good enough to me.
With the cartridges from the 30x and 50x series , I have mouse support and disk acces

Are you from holland, or are you sometimes in holland?
I have 2 cartridges 301 (the midirecorder), if you will have one, you can get it for 10 euro.
The are boxed with manual
