Just surfing around i foud a screenshot of this emu:

Can anyone tell me which emu this is? And which OS it needs to run (looks like windows)?

And in another screenshot it's emulating a shoot 'em up game, which happens to be my favourite genre:

Does anyone knows which game this is and if it runs on a MSX2?

I'd say it's MSXPlayer, embedded in some other application to control it.

This is the latest MSXPLAYer, the Woo-Kun skin as it's published on MSX Magazine 2.

I looks like a game that is known to me as "Laydock Special", a small game that runs on a MSX2+. Don't know how it was published (probably via a (disk)magazine or something).

Just checked if it was Laydock special. It wasn't, but it still looks very simular. Even the ship used is looks the same, but the game I had in mind had a "laydock power bar" instead of 2-lives. I am pretty sure it is from T&E Soft though (for the pig mascotte which is present at the top of the game screen and next to the emulator).

The pig has nothing to do with the emulated game itself. With MSX Magazine 2 come 3 versions of MSX-PLAYer (not considering the PocketPC ones ), each having a different 'skin'. This is one of those, and all games and other stuff which come with MSX Magazine 2 can be run with each of those skins.

At the moment these emulators are MSX-Magazine only, Japan only :/

Well, I looked in my MSX Magazine 2, and none of these two games looked very much like the pictures of the games on the CD (although the first could be part of the introdemo of one of the games), so I don't think they are included. My guess is that these are both MSX games played from disk. The second game, it seems to say 'Za'ila' or something at the top. Seeing the strange 123456789 numbers, maybe it is a game still in development?

p.s. I am actually quite sure they are not included in MSX-Magazine 2, as they are both run from the TURBOR_BASIC.IMG file, which only contains small Basic programs ^_^.

It isn't possible to order MSX Magazine (including the CD containing MSX Player (?) ) outside of Japan? I thought it was, but if not:
