Well, I just got a Trubo-R but it loses every time it's date, time and "set screen" settings. Probably the battery is empty. Does it recharge when the Turbo-R is turned on or should I replace the battery with a new one?

The MSX turbo R has regular non-rechargeable batteries which can be replaced without opening the machine itself.

If you take a look at the bottom side of the turbo R, you can see where the batteries are inserted. You need 2 'penlite' batteries. And if you think to put in some rechargeables in there, I don't think the turbo R is capable of recharging them itself.

2 normal AA penlites will do the trick. My turboR has been running for many years on them without having to replace 'em. So using rechargeables is a bit useless.
