I have a large collection of Konami instruction manuals, what do you think about the legality of putting them on line?
Other sites have other manuals online, so why not Konami cartridge manuals?

If you're selling, then I'd be interested in a Cabbage Patch Kids manual

I am not selling the manuals, they are complete with box & cartridge in most cases. Sorry, I have no manual for cabbage patch kids.

I don't know it there's any trouble putting those manuals on the net... but it will be amazing if you do this finally!
on funet (ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/docs/manuals/) you can find the Shalom (Knightmare III) manual |

Niles why the cynical comment ? THe manuals are in excellent condition, no yellowing, no writing an them, apart from Maze Of Galious.
I tried to scan some of my UK MSX magazines, but that did not work too well
Why original question is about the legality of it? I have heard that Konami can be rather keen to keep there copyright, even on older products. These manuals are not public domain, but copyrighted by Konami.

I think it is in no way legal to put such a manual online. I myself have thought about translating Japanese-only manuals and putting them online on my website, but as I am a Japanologist I might ruin future career plans by doing so . It's not very risky I guess (if you're found, you'll probably only be warned), but neither legal. |

Niles, your english is perfectly understandable.
I don't understand djh1697's reaction either. In fact, I dare say he doesn't know the meaning of 'cynical' or 'cynicism'.
