Over here it only took 10 seconds to load....with the same type pc(1700+ 256MB), great site Albert

It's running from his local machine, so depending on how busy he uses his cable connection, the site will be slower or faster.

Maybe... but it's using the slowmotion language Java.
First the virtual machine needs to start, then compile the classes, etc.
Slow.

Converting his site to PHP will be much faster for visitors.

If you have problems with the Java applet, you might want to visit the home page and find out how it can be changed to a text version. The java applet version will be in the PHP version as well. But since the site uses cookies you can get the text version by default.
