I'm trying to find an 2.0+, or an 2.0 if a 2.0+ becomes too hard to find...

If anyone of you guys have one for sale or know where I can find, please let me know.

Thanks to all

If you can't find one, maybe you could look out for a normal msx2 and upgrade it to 2+ ...?

And this upgrade ? Is it easy to do ? Are the components easy to find ?

A guy at ebay is selling a MSX 2.0 PHILIPS NMS 8245. Is this upgrade possible with this one ? Is this phlilips a good model ?

Thanks again.

hm.. you aren't Dutch I think ??

in NL we've www.hansoranje.nl who does all kinda upgrade-thingies..

At his page I just saw that upgrades for the 8245 didn't include 2+ (the V9958 chip) .. if you can find a 8250/55/80 it would be a better choice I think..

The 8245 is a sturdy machine.. had one for years.. well, I still have, but it's enjoying retirement

The only issue I ever had with the 8245 was that bloody diskdrive

I have a Sanyo Wavy 70FD internally upgraded to 128 Kb of RAM.

FDD is not working though :/

Dutch ? Me ? No, not even close. Guess where...

This site is really great, didn't know this kind of stuff was sold for MSX. Better would be if written in english too.

I'll try to find another one, this one 8245 isn't that good. You're lucky to live in Europe.

Brazil ? pure based on the statistic fact that a lot of non-EU msx'ers live in Brazil

Well, the 8245 is a solid machine, but 50/55/80 machines are better expandable.. if you opt for expansions, go for a 50/55/80 .. or a good Sony perhaps, but I really know jack about Sony's ..

Yes, I also think you're from Brazil! If you want to buy an MSX 2 maybe a Brazilian friend of me can help you.

Tell me more about your Sanyo. Is it in good conditions, despite of course the drive ?

These floppies, if I put a PC 3 1/2 1.44 will it work as an 720 Kb msx drive ?

And finally, about cash, how much ???

I'm from Brazil really. Here we had the Gradiente Expert, in a cpu + keyboard style, but most of them are msx1. A conversion kit for 2.0 was sold, and 2.0+ are very rare.

I was thinking about a complete configuration like the Wavy 70FD from Ivan, with fm pac and disk drive built-in, but others without them are welcome too.

This friend of yours can surely help me. vitorleonel@uol.com.br

Humm... I'm not going to sell it by now. I prefer to sell a working machine.

There's a document in HansO MSX pages that explains how to adapt a PC FDD into the Wavy 70:

Someone talking about MSX in version numbers like 1.0, 2.0 is tell-tale sign he's from Brazil
