If you use an emulator, you must insert a SCC+ cartridge in one slot. See the manual of the emulator.

If you use a real MSX, try eBay to buy a complete package of the game (including the sound cartridge) : this game is very populair and some people sell it on eBay

RuMSX is very easy to use, but it is also an emulator full of bugs !

You should try blueMSX : http://www.vik.cc/blueMSX/

hmm....i have found out that bluemsx is best use for SD-snatcher i guess
cus its very easy to use and all the performance is almost correct and you only need a SD-Snatcher file WITH!! scc sound in one

Indeed ... blueMSX is better than RuMSX ... and next public version will be even more better, you can believe me, I've tested demos on beta versions, and the results are surprising : Daniel Vik is making a great work !

If you have a game with .BAS, .LDR, BIN ... files, you must create a DSK file with all these files.

You can try Disk Manager (on the site of the RuMSX emulator), but this tool is not optimised for WinXP or Win2000.

If you use WinXP or Win2000, I recommend WinImage : http://www.winimage.com

Don't forget to precise as disk image format the following format :

2 sides, 80 tracks, 9 sectors/track (720 Kbytes)

When you have created the DSK image, you can use it in an emulator. When you are in MSX-BASIC, you must type RUN"GAME.BAS" (+ press on RETURN / ENTER) if the loader file is "GAME.BAS"

By the way, if you rename "GAME.BAS" as "AUTOEXEC.BAS", you will have an autostartable DSK file !

In some cases, you'll need to make other changes in the AUTOEXEC.BAS or to press on the CTRL key until you hear a beep when you start the emulator (you have then more memory)

You can choose between Quicksave and "NoQuicksave" :
- F8 Saves the CPU state to a predefined file in the current directory.
- Ctrl+F8 Saves the CPU state to a file with the name of your choice

The loading of the CPU states happens by pressing on F7 (predefined file ) or by Ctrl+F7 (files with name of your choice)
