Hi everybody!

i recently got a Sony HitBit 75P. I'm happy about it, because
this is my first MSX Computer (i got several C64 and other Commodore Stuff).
But there's a problem. I doesn't work. I connected it via RGB Cable and/or
via RF Cable(found the correct chan) to my TV Set. But theres only a dark screen.
The Power Led is okay. The Caps Led won't work. Does anybody here got some advices
to repair this computer?

thanx in advance,
Infozoid

FIRST: you can try pushing all chips on his sockets.... sometimes the socket got fakes electric contacts

you can try fix, buy a z80 and open the MSX and replace, it is mounted on a socket (in the most of cases), is very easy try that.

if is a msx2, check the battery sulfatation, remplace it with if is needed

check if on the mother got any kind of dust or oxize and clean that with a paintbrush wet in alcohol in the more bad of the cases

Hello

Mostly if the power-led burns, in a sony HB-75P msx1 computer the rom is broken. It is very hard to get that rom.
Or the LVA-510 is broken, but that part is expansive and that is not worth to reapair.

You'll be surprised in how many embedded systems a Z80 is still used!
